She's been a favourite of our bookclub's. Bel Canto, State of Wonder, Commonwealth, and Run were all great reads. Though because of all the layers, they are slightly unsettling.

I read this just last week, and raced through it! And yes, I cringed at that piece you mentioned too, but appreciated it being written that way.Malihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03928262526502319303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-68330918730656568862020-01-11T21:07:58.709-05:002020-01-11T21:07:58.709-05:00This is on my list, your recommendation pushes it ...This is on my list, your recommendation pushes it up! I love Ann Patchett. She also does not have kids (she preferred dogs and her life as is, per This Is The Story Of A Happy Marriage), so that quote about Maeve is particularly good. Interesting, her thoughts in writing books about being in one family, and then finding yourself in another. Thinking back on they books of hers that I've read, that totally fits.

You're off and running for your new goal!Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15868505568965284742noreply@blogger.com
