At least, not lately (I know they checked it when I was in fertility treatments, but that was quite awhile ago), and while I've been pretty regular, nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of gore. ;) He did say at my most recent checkup that he definitely wanted to see me back in a year's time. loribethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09272814565916935113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-89218782530023534222015-06-09T19:35:58.246-04:002015-06-09T19:35:58.246-04:00I am sleeping so much better now thanks to HRT! Mind you, I find I'm still tossing blankets on and off all night, though nowhere as bad as it was this time last year.

My husband is the one with the book problem. He packed some up in boxes, but can't bring himself to give them away. I'm very impressed with your progress! Of course, e-readers completely changed our bookshelves - they stopped in time about five years ago.Malihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03928262526502319303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-90667488995697634222015-06-09T19:33:12.059-04:002015-06-09T19:33:12.059-04:00We went and saw it on the basis of Loribeth's ...We went and saw it on the basis of Loribeth's recommendation! It was good. I liked that the action scenes weren't endless (as adult movies often think is necessary), and that there were definite story sequences (again I get very disappointed with adult movies these days which don't have much of a storyline).Malihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03928262526502319303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-38044158268244229002015-06-09T19:31:50.145-04:002015-06-09T19:31:50.145-04:00Has your ob-gyn checked your FSH? (I'm sure he has - but I was continuing to be regular, until my last gory year, when my FSH levels apparently showed I shouldn't have been bleeding at all.)Malihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03928262526502319303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-56368287793592652532015-06-08T23:06:55.622-04:002015-06-08T23:06:55.622-04:00I am 54 and will celebrate 55 in July. Done.

Grand job with the books. I've been paring down for the better part of this year. Hoping to move them out to the library collection bin before the annual sale in August. I agree ...Well done on the book culling project!

I agree with you that 43 years is more than enough and Aunt Flo should vacate your uterus permanently, like now! I've always had difficulty sleeping, but since August when the peri-menopause thing hit like a freight train, it's been so much worse. The only effective thing I've found for the hot/cold thing is to have a small fan in the room, blowing in my direction, but not directly on me to keep the air circulating, and I had to ditch my adorable (but heavy) comforter for a less cute but much lighter weight quilt.

I think that Spy looks so funny, but I'll probably wait until it comes out in Redbox because hubs doesn't usually care for comedies. When I first began, I thought, "I will never get rid of these ones." But after a day or two, out they went. Somehow the idea got easier the longer I sat with it. If I have the e-version and the paper version, the paper version has (mostly) gone. I have/had tons of books that I read 20+ years ago & haven't touched since, so a lot of those have gone. I had some books I was hanging onto because dh had given them to me and inscribed. If I wasn't interested in the book anymore and could rip out the page with the inscription to save elsewhere, I did that. I also did away with a lot of cookbooks. I have kept some (my junior high home ec cookbook, my mother's church group cookbooks, with some of her recipes in them, etc.), but I figure I barely look at most of these & I can get tons of recipes on the Internet. Etc. etc...! loribethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09272814565916935113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-29568863330251343702015-06-08T17:13:08.952-04:002015-06-08T17:13:08.952-04:00It's definitely Disney -- kind of corny in par...It's definitely Disney -- kind of corny in parts (especially at the end) -- but it also had me teary eyed at the very end too. Parts of it touch on NASA & the space program, and that's right up dh's alley, so he loved it. It makes a good point about how everything to do with the future is so dark & dystopian these days -- and how at one time, we looked to the future with hope & excitement, and how do we get to that point again? loribethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09272814565916935113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-73468505549202703612015-06-08T15:31:09.294-04:002015-06-08T15:31:09.294-04:00Want to come over here and do my books next? :-) ...Want to come over here and do my books next? :-) I am terrible at making decisions about the books. Long enough, wouldn't you say? My ob-gyn is not overly concerned -- he says I am not alone, although I am definitely past the average age when menopause generally kicks in.
