I ...Sending love about the anniversary. 15 years.

I loved that post by Julie. And to answer your question: there is nothing so wrong or so bad about that. I think your life (especially all the genealogy stuff) rocks.Lollipop Goldsteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01020874415819057995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-46376082679287328852013-03-23T22:06:10.560-04:002013-03-23T22:06:10.560-04:00Well, I for one think you provide a very valuable ...Well, I for one think you provide a very valuable charitable service for those of us who don't get round to reading all the interesting stuff on the internet - I now have several tabs open on my computer to go read all the interesting things you've linked to. Thank you Loribeth, I don't know what I'd do without you!

(Also, don't ever underestimate the charitable volunteer work you do for a large community of women simply by blogging here.)

Malihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03928262526502319303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178366214524455884.post-21843543159386912742013-03-22T23:05:17.903-04:002013-03-22T23:05:17.903-04:00First of all, (*hugs*) on the anniversary.
Very i...First of all, (*hugs*) on the anniversary.

Very interesting and thoughtful post (and links).

It is interesting how much we feel the need to validate the need for time to screw around, and to just exist. I'll admit I sit and play gaming apps on my Ipod while V plays with his toys sometimes- I am with him literally 24/7. I love him, and I love focusing on him, but sometimes I need to slack off too. It can get overwhelming otherwise.

And about individuals without children, society does seem to set up that expectation... and it's pretty ridiculous. It's not someones job to save all the orphans, or volunteer every spare minute, just because of biology or choosing to life without children.

As for Gwyneth Paltrow, I was kind of wondering if it was pre-e or something. She really didn't elaborate so it makes you wonder, doesn't it? I'm glad she was open about it though, in a society where the media is so focused on procreation. I can't imagine being in that kind of spotlight and having fertility or miscarriage issues, having your loss plastered everywhere, the media snooping in on it.AnotherDreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11487881766884178761noreply@blogger.com
