Delurk!

Melissa at Stirrup Queens has reminded us that it's International Blog Delurking Week. :)  I've taken part, on & off over the 12 years I've been blogging (related posts now tagged here), and it's always fun to see old friends, occasional commenters and previously silent lurkers come out of the woodwork to say hello.

So -- come out, come out, wherever you are -- say hello (at least) and, if you like, tell me/us something about yourself. As always, I'm curious -- how did you find me, & how long have you been reading (if you remember)?

  1. I'm holding my sleeping baby right now. She is an IVF baby. I can accross your blog several years ago, shortly after I first googled some childlessness related keyword, crying at the same time. Role models like you helped me to build a new world view and truly believe I can create a life worth living without kids.

  2. I need to do this too. I might go back and edit my Monday post.

You know I'm here, as I'm not a lurker. I've been reading since I started my No Kidding blog, which was November 2010. Can't remember how I found you - probably via Pamela or Mel. But I'm glad I did.

Hmmm, tell you something about me. I'm still in my pyjamas, and it's time for lunch? lol

  3. I am your German reader (the Anne of Green Gables fan) who delurked (can you say that??) before - I found your blog about six years ago when I started out on the road less traveled after years of infertility treatment and an ectopian pregnancy. You really help me to navigate this road less taken which seems to have come without a map. I also enjoy your book and film reviews and I have picked up a number of your suggestions - last year I read "Little Fires Everywhere" because of your recommendation. And I really like all the glimpses of life in Canada that you share with us. Thank you so much!

  5. I'm here, grateful for your blog! I've enjoyed reading your book recommendations, living CNBC, and all things Canada. I found you through Mel, and you were a lighthouse lamp for me. I'm in sweats and looking forward to heading to bed any second now, exhausted from the first day back to school from holiday break. Happy delurking!

  8. Hey, how did I miss this? Anyway, hi from Spain. I started reading your blog about then years ago --I had fertility issues and was reading a lot of ALI blogs. I read Katie's story in one go and I cried over it.

After a while I stopped reading blogs altogether, but I keep coming back to yours because you are a FABULOUS writer. :-)
