BIL called last night to invite us for Thanksgiving dinner (which here in Canada is this coming Monday) -- pre-empting my ambitions, outlined in my rant at Eastertime, to start making our own holiday plans & maybe go away somewhere for the weekend. At least he called us a week ahead & not at the last minute.
Besides, I really can't miss this one:
Our oldest nephew (who will be 21 in December) is bringing his girlfriend to meet us.
Gulp.
I am so not ready for this. How do parents do it??
Oh, that is so sweet (and says so much about your relationship with your nephew) that he wants you to meet his girlfriend. Hope you have a good Thanksgiving!
