There's currently no snow on the ground -- and yesterday was 12C (= 54F) -- but that nip in the air is back.
We turned over the calendar page to December, and marked the first day on our Advent calendar this morning.
Normally, we don't put up our Christmas tree until the first week of December. I had thought we might put it up Sunday afternoon (Advent Sunday) -- but had earmarked Sunday to attend a big craft show with a girlfriend. So dh suggested we do it on Thursday. (We usually do the dusting & vacuuming on Fridays -- and the main floor, where we have the tree, is his territory, lol.) So that's what we did. (Then my friend changed plans -- we're now going to the craft show later this week -- so we could have put up the tree Sunday anyway. Oh well!)
Here it is:

I love this time of year. :)

We put our tree up today (I am a stickler for not doing it until the 1st).
ReplyDeleteMy mum gave me all of "my" ornaments about ten years ago now. It makes me so happy to see them on our tree, along with the new ones that mean something for my life with Q. and E.
Your tree is beautiful!
The tree is beautiful. Even sideways;) Hoping this season is filled with many more wonderful moments.
ReplyDeleteI usually love Christmas, but I'm just not feeling it this year. Too much family stress. I'm glad you are though. And I love your tree - horizontal though it is!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is so pretty! I hope to get ours up sometime this week too, but we'll see how that goes.
ReplyDeletePretty tree! It must be nice to read beside it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree! Hope you enjoy all of what you love about the season!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a pretty tree. We don't put up any Christmas trees (we're both lazy ha ha...), but the first day of December hubby would put up some Christmas lights in the living room and computer room (we only light them when we're up and about in the house), though we let the outdoor light in our porch on all the time because it's getting so dark here (2 hours of daylight only and going fast to zero).
ReplyDeleteWell done! I have yet to do a lick of anything Christmas like....sigh.
