When the going gets tough... the tough get going

A (childless not by choice) friend sent this to me on Facebook, with my blog in mind. : ) Isn't it great??

Sometimes it's hard to believe, I know... when I started off down this road less travelled 11 years ago, I didn't know exactly what I would find. I hoped and believed that, because my husband & I had had a good life up until that point as a family of two, that we could still have a good life in the years ahead, even if things hadn't turned out exactly the way we had planned.

And while there have been bad days (and weeks... and months...) -- there HAVE been good things down the road.

And I hope there will be more as we keep on walking,

  3. Loribeth, if there's one thing I know about you, I know that there will be many good things for you down the road.

Don't you think it's just a case - for those of us walking that road - of stopping and actually seeing the good things, rather than focusing on the road we wanted to be on?

  5. So true! Sometimes it's really hard because the road is hilly and you can't see down it, but good things are down that road.

  6. So love this post. We all need to remind ourselves of those "good things down the road" because we tend to get wrapped up in the what could have been. We just have to keep walking down that road, ladies!

  7. Love! It's so easy to get stuck in the "what almost was" turnstile. Thanks for the reminder to keep walking forward.
