Note that there are still leaves on the neighbour's trees that overhang our yard, and leaves on the ground (even though dh has been raking diligently and already filled 7 big bags). There are just two yard waste pickups left this season, including one tomorrow. Yikes!
I know it's mid-November, and my family & friends out west would roll their eyes at this photo -- they've already had to dig out from several major dumps of snow. And I have to admit, snow helps make things feel a bit more Christmasy. The first snowfall always does look pretty, especially when it sticks to the branches, as it's done this morning.
But yikes -- I am really not sure I am ready for this. :p
(On the other hand -- I did not have to battle my way on slippery roads to the commuter train station this morning & stand freezing on the platform, waiting for the train. Small victories...!)

Brrr. But pretty. November seems early, even for a viewer from afar.
ReplyDeleteSo envious!(And missing those Canadian winters...) The Christmas markets have just opened here, but they have predicted a warm winter. I can't walk around with mulled wine when it's 15 degrees outside!
ReplyDeleteI am in the west, kinda rolling my eyes... Just kidding!
ReplyDeleteYes! Snow makes the impending holiday season a little more magical!
I miss snow!!! How I wish I could wake up to a scene like this.
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to that same scene this morning along with ridiculously cold temperatures (for November). I'm not ready for it either! Thankfully I am able to work from home today so I plan to minimize my outside time. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have the same scene here - a few hundred miles south of you (and much further west, too)! I would be happier with the snow if the heat in our building worked properly...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you know how it is here on the frozen prairies. Sigh. I'm already over winter and it's just begun!
ReplyDeleteIt feels like the snow is very early this year. Earlier than usual?
ReplyDeleteIt is so cold here, but none of our snow stuck.
Beautiful! We also got a pretty dusting in Rochester, but man did Buffalo get hammered. I hope you missed that. Snow is so beautiful, even if it means time cleaning off your car.
ReplyDeletewe had a foot of snow here already and it lasted a week... it's finally gone and i hope winter stays away for a bit. Like you, I'm not quite ready! Hope you have a "mild" remainder of November.
