So I will just say that we spent the weekend with BIL, SIL & dh's cousins at their cottage (for the 5th straight September), enjoying good food, pretty scenery (fall colours not quite as advanced as they were the same weekend two years ago, but getting stronger every day we were there), great company and great conversation (aside from a few too many "Grandkids are the best!" references for my comfort...!).
Back to reality today!

Ouch. My family often says stuff like that without thinking. It feels very "othering."

ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a good time despite the remarks regarding grandkids. I must admit I am not looking forward to that. I am finding my 40ies much easier than my 30ies though.
What a beautiful picture! I have very fond memories of the Canadian Indian Summer :-). We rarely get strong colors over here in Switzerland, especially not the red.
